Embodying Nei Gong & Qi Gong: An incredible journey of how to awaken the Qi in your being

Taught by – Frank Iborra as passed down from Master Bruce Frantzis

The ancient Taoists who developed this practice of Nei Gong, made the distinction of intellectual knowledge and experiential knowledge.  They emphasized our ability to feel and embody things like physical tissues, muscles, ligaments, organs, joints, cavities, energies, blood and fluids; as a way to experience and make clear distinctions concerning what is working well and efficiently; or what is stuck, frozen, or obstructed.

With this awareness you develop the tools and skills to repair, heal and enhance the fundamental structures that make up your body.  These practices initially develop your external senses of perception and prepare you for the deeper inner journey, as your internal senses awaken.

In time, what is accessed by feeling are the more rarified and subtle tissues of emotions, thought patterns and psychic energy and direct experience of qi, etc.  In four weekly classes you will learn three practices that are fundamental to the internal energy schools.  Initially you will learn the foundational practices of Taoist Longevity Breathing and Standing Practice followed by Circling Hands, the main practice.

The Circling Hands practice introduces the concept of circularity which is fundamental to universal natural energy.  Shapes and energies of circles are inherent in nature and no straight lines exist.  Circles are considered sacred geometry, which means they have movement that is patterned after the origins of the universe.  You will learn to ride these waves within to heal, balance and awaken the latent energy of your being.

Frank Iborra

Frank Iborra is a North Carolina state licensed and nationally board certified (NCCAOM) diplomat in acupuncture; as well as a certified non-somatic extraordinary vessel (NSEV) practitioner. Frank has studied the Asian healing arts for over 30 years and the Asian movement arts for over 50 years. His studies have included acupuncture, NSEV training, Chinese herbs, Nei Gong Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Tao Yoga, Longevity Breathing, Qi Gong Tui Na and Meditation. He has previously served as an advisory board member for the educational holistic program at Everglades University and as an instructor for Chinese medical theory at Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in South Florida. He also established a healing center in So. Florida, White Crane Healing Arts, where he had his private practice and taught Qigong classes. Presently, Frank is supervising acupuncture interns for the Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC. He considers the mentoring process of future healers with the ancient tools of Chinese medicine an extraordinary process. The school’s dean of classical Chinese medicine is Jeffrey Yuen, who is world renowned and a beautiful human being. He is presenting a rebirth of the original Chinese medicine growing out of the writings of the Yellow Emperors inner canon. In the late eighties, prior to becoming an acupuncture student, Frank met and studied with Dan Nevel. in a series of monthly weekend intensives on Chinese Dietary therapy and nutrition. Dan’s presentations and approach to the subject matter were inspirational to Frank’s becoming a healing practitioner and Frank continues to be inspired to this day. He subsequently enrolled in the North Miami acupuncture school, founded by Dan Nevel and Kevin Clark, where Dan introduced the non-somatic extraordinary vessel system. Frank graduated from the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in 1992. Frank’s experience of the internal arts began in the early seventies and quickly developed into a lifelong passion. Through good fortune, he met and studied with incredible teachers, including Master Bruce Frantzis. In 2004, he began studying Taoist Nei Gong systems with Bruce, and his studies continue to the present day. Frank’s approach to Chinese medicine and particularly the Taoist healing arts is to inform and educate patients and students about their body’s own healing ability and capacities. He does this through private instruction, weekly classes, treatment sessions, workshops and lectures. Frank’s years of experience as a student and teacher, along with his unique perspective and sensitivity as a healer, assists and guides patients and students toward the path of self-discovery and healing.
